Sew Many Memories

My aunt bought me my first sewing machine when I was about 7 years old. I remember it was a plastic safety model that was operated by batteries. My first project was making a blanket and scarf out of flannel for a porcelain doll that I had. It lasted me awhile but got pushed aside as I grew.
Both of my grandma's made beautiful things! My father's mother did mostly crochet and knitting, but my mother's mother had a whole spectrum of items that she made. She knitted, crocheted, quilted and painted & fired her own figures in the kiln. I still have my first quilt that she made me. It was made with fleece squares in different colors and backed with a Sesame Street sheet. I also have one of the last quilts that she made. It was hung on her casket at her wake and now hangs on my quilt rack in my living room.

I have been building a "stash" of fabric for the better part of 10 or so years and now make my own quilts, personalized signs for many occasions and dabble in a couple of multi level marketing companies. I am also going to be offering new off the bolt fabric for sale. Watch as I add new pieces and items to my page! Please let me know what I can make for you!
